Pranavah Yoga in Long Island City is thrilled to be continuing our 200 Hour Yoga Alliance Teacher Training Program!! We launched our first session in April, and due to the warm reception will continue with our gold standard program. Pranavah Yoga 7 Month- 200 Hour Patanjala Teacher Training begins July 8th 2016 and ends January 8th2017. This 7 month training is an excellent way to marinate in the profound teachings of Yoga, and is also an excellent option for the yogi who is unable to commit to a 12 week intensive. Our training offers insight into the beautiful and very practical philosophy underlying Yoga, and goes into depth detailing the various aspects of practice beyond Asana, such as Pranayama, Chanting, Meditation, Anatomy, the Prenatal Body and study of Philosophical Texts. The training speaks to those who wish to deepen their understanding and practice of yoga as well as to those who would like to share the teachings with others. The training includes 6 Months of Unlimited Yoga Classes, and access to our exceptional faculty! Our faculty includes Carolyn, Director of Pranavah Yoga and the 200 Hour Teacher Training Program, Asana, Teaching Methodology, Anatomy and more! Sadia for Asana; Sat Siri Singh for Yoga Philosophy, Chanting, Pranayama and Meditation; Carrie Ingoglia specialized in the Energy Body, Pranayama, Meditation. We will also have a list of guest teachers who specialize in their respective fields of yoga sharing their knowledge with the trainees. Our training offers a thorough overview of:
Asana – Vinyasa-s of postures, adaptations, variations, modifications and manual adjustments for postures
Course Planning – How to intelligently structure a comprehensive class using the various yogic tools
Teaching Methodology – The art of guiding a group or an individual student
Pranayama – Introduction to the various breathing techniques, and pranayama course planning
Meditation – Yoga’s approach to focusing the mind
Yoga Philosophy – Study of the Yoga Sutras and Bhagavad Gita
Chanting – Recitation of ancient mantras
Anatomy – Exploration of the various anatomical structures and systems of the physical and energy body
Prenatal Yoga – What to take into account when teaching pregnant women
Subtle Anatomy – The chakra and nadhi system; the energy body
Ethics – Guidelines about teaching yoga
Individualizing the Practice – How to create practices tailored towards someone’s specific needs.

  • Dates are as follows: July 8th – January 8th Fridays 6pm-9:15pm, Saturdays 11am-9pm and Sundays 12pm -4:30pm, no class Thanksgiving Weekend. Our class meets one weekend a month
  • July 8th-10th,
  • August 12th-14th,
  • Sept 30th-Oct 2nd,
  • Oct 21st-23rd,
  • Nov 4th-6th,
  • Dec 16th-18th Final Exam Jan 7th & 8th.
  • There are 25 outside hours required during the training for observing and assisting, teaching and workshops you may schedule at your convenience (before January 8th 2017)
  • 20 Hours of Asana Class or Workshops
  • 10 Hours of Observation
  • 10 Hours of Assists
  • 5 Classes to Teach
Flexible scheduling is available for the busy Yogi, please inquire with Carolyn about possible schedule conflicts and extensions. We have a team of highly trained teachers (Sat Siri Yoga, Carla, Carrie and Carolyn, Director of program) who are here to help you succeed on your Yoga path, and as a new teacher. Our school is a Yoga Alliance registered school and our training is the Gold Standard of Yoga.
We also offer a 90 Day mentorship program if you feel you need more time and attention to sharpen your teaching skills.

Early registration is available now until June 15th $4500. Tuition is $4700 if you reserve your spot with $500 non refundable deposit by July 1st. (Payment plans available upon request, classes must be paid in part by first day of class.) Trainees will receive 6 Months of Unlimited Yoga Classes as part of the training.

Assist in Adjustments for 10 hours

Teach 5 Community Classes convenient for your schedule

20 hours of classes and or workshops.
